Unfortunately I am having problems with my new Xpertvision X800. After working perfectly for an hour or so, the system reset and the card does not output any picture at all, not even on startup. I've tried a variety of problem solving methods, like disabling the onboard vga, changing ide config (to free up some power and remove potential conflicts), tweaking a few agp bios settings, different monitor .. nothing seems to make a difference.
i am running:
Motherboard ASUS P4S800-MX
CPU Intel Celeron 2.8ghz
RAM 1 x Corsair 1gb, 1 x Generic 512mb
Hard drives all Seagate Barracuda 7200's, 1 x 80gb, 2 x 160gb
DVD is a Pioneer DVR-110 IDE
(config PM - 80gb hd PL - DVD-RW SM - 160gb hd SL - 160gb hd)
Power Supply is a Usicase 400w
There is a strange ide problem
that triggers a reset whenever there's heavy read/write activity on the
secondary ide but that's about the only other issue ive ever had..
By the way, I'm running off the onboard video at the moment. The only problem is that when the new video card is in the agp slot, and I power on the system, the connected monitor registers no signal. It will still boot up as normal, just with no video output. I've disabled the onboard video and it gets the same result. I've enabled the onboard video and connected a second monitor to the onboard with the x800 active and on the primary monitor, still only onboard puts out a picture, upon going into windows there is no second monitor or capacity for second monitor detected from the display properties. I've dealt with video issues before but I'm getting nowhere with this one so I'm quite stumped!
