I bought this laptop: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2096728 2 weeks ago from Coloradoreg. I never received the laptop nor will he respond to my inquiries. The fs/ft mod told me to post here if I didnt receive or hear from within two weeks. I have since escalated my Paypal dispute to a claim & hopefully, with the help of anandtech, we can resolve this issue one way or another.

Update: I got an email from Paypal on my claim. It said the seller has responded to my request for a tracking # & included a Priority Mail tracking number. My fingers are crossed!

Yeah, but that site is out of date. I traced the possible troll to Buena Vista, which is actually where Andrea now hails from.

Email addresses match, it was only sold once. Looks like tboo was trying to contact the seller though both locations and I got confused with the slight name difference between sites.

I feel for you. Getting scammed is just hands down uncalled for. Shit, i lost like 120 dollars on ebay once. I was lucky enough to have proof(shipping manifest) that the guy was a complete retard and was out to get me. Best of luck! Be sure to contact PayPal, they are NOT light on scams and they WILL freeze accounts and hold all funds if you can get em convinced with enough proof. I think having a team of moderators behind you would do nicely.

Here is the info from the Troll Update thread, since our friends from other forums can't see that thread without signing up.

Regis Helaine, aka Coloradoreg is a returning banned troll thief previously banned as rhelaine.

ON 8-17-2010, tboo paid him $220 via paypal for a Dell D430 laptop he offered in this thread. Since then, tboo has not received the laptop, and Coloradoreg has not responded to inquiries.

He appears to have "sold" the same laptop on two other forums under different names:

As regis helaine on notebookreview.com.

As regish on fredmiranda.com.
