I dunno. I turn on World News Tongith with Jennings and what do you see. Two of those kidnapped Isreali soldiers are dead, (Im Jewish so this pissed me off even more, considering my cousin was about to go live in Isreal and serve in the army)
The Palestineans (spell?) dropped one of them out a window, most likely alive, to be beaten to death by an angry mob.
Now, a U.S. Ship is attacked, 5 dead, 30 something injured and 12 missing.
Is the world closer to war than ever??
Can you say WWIII
I'm scared. Living in the biggest city in the world leaves me very open to Terrorist Attack (NYC)

What you guys and gals think?

I think it's time you take a deep breath and relax a little. Sure things are fscked up around the world, and it would be arrogant to think that terrorists can not strike here, but the state of the world really is not that bad.

The situation in the Middle East is far better than it was ten years ago. I can remember seeing pictures of car bombs and truck bombs and bus bombs and all-around general carnage on the news almost every week. Violence and tensions have flared up, but they are nothing compared to a decade (and longer) ago. Sure, there's still a long ways to go, but think about how far the world has come.

The alleged terrorist attack occured halfway across the world. I won't tell you that it can't happen here, but the odds against it are much higher. Is the world really less safe than it was two weeks ago? Relax a little, and try not to get so worked up about it. It's a serious situation over there, but I really don't think it's time to panic.

todays events underscore the need to stay vigilant in our determination not to allow the spread of nuclear arms to third world terrorist countries who have no respect for the sanctity of human life.

I am truly puzzled that a country sush as Palistine would seek our support(Yasser Arafat)when you send women and children to face off Isreali soldiers with rocks when loaded rifles are aimed at them. This is provocation to the max, iresponsible and dangerous. What could Yasser possibly think he was goig to gain? He may have just lost any chance at a free palestinian state. And I can never look at a palistinean the same way I did a week ago.

Makes me sick!

Anyone remmember the six day war?
Isreal isn't a country to mess with. When they fire up, they're a force to be reconded with. Palistine might not be around to have any land.
