i fully endorse all semites to live in semite lands. jew or arab, they're all semitic. this is a semitic conflict, let them sort it out. What does america have to do w/ it? stop giving in to the bloody israeli lobby groups and tell to deal w/ this sh%t alone. During this recession WE can use the hundres of millions of dollars being given to both sides in this conflict (to israel and our "arab allies").

does this seem odd to any of u????

The truth is Israel receives billions of dollars in aid every year from America. Palestine gets almost nothing

To break down those numbers for you...

20% of the US foreign aid budget goes to Israel.
2009 total is 2,550,000,000.
$7,000,000 per day
$500 per Israeli per year

US Military equipment is sometimes sold to countries like china which goes against US policy
http://www.ifamericansknew.org/

A few months ago many countries pledged a total of 4.5 billion to help rebuild, but Israel blocked it all from going into Gaza.

Nope

U.S. Pledges $900 Million in Aid to Palestinians

Much of the aid to Israel is for the purchase of military hardware they turn around and buy from us, it doesn't benefit your average Israeli in his/her daily life.

IMO, Palestinians don't need fighter jets etc.

I've seen other links to gov reports showing how much money we give to Palestinians. It is, and has been for a long, quite substanial.

My bad
http://www.usaid.gov/wbg/home.html

But AID to Palestine is very new. Israel over the course of its history has received well over 100 Billion in Aid.

I'm not sure if i understand the logic though. US gives money to Israel and Palestine. Israel bombs the shit out of Palestine causing billions in damage. Israel then requests more loans to resupply its army. Then the US pledges 900 Million partly rebuild Palestine.

I think as American citizens we should be keeping our money. I know I could use it right now.

It actually feels really really really good knowing that my tax money is partly going to Palestine.

Here, check out this PDF. Link

I didn't link it my earlier post because is so old. But if you read down you find Bill Clinton got $400 million in aid for Palestians back in 2000.

There's also information about aid for earlier years.

I think a better comparison than total $'s would be the amount of per capita non-military aid given to each, but I haven't been able to find it.

I say non-military because (IMO) Palestinians need infrastructure and utilities etc; having a shiny new military jet that some hot-shot flies around in doesn't do jack for the average person. Although to some extent military aid by the US likely frees up some Israeli funds to be used on public services.

I have little problem agreeing with the Fern point of, "I say non-military because (IMO) Palestinians need infrastructure and utilities etc; having a shiny new military jet that some hot-shot flies around in doesn't do jack for the average person. But we damn well should be extending the same principle to Israel, in the form of no military aid at all. And instead we have armed Israel to the teeth with State of the arts military equipment Israel uses to bully their neighbors. Thereby making Israel hated by not only just 3 million Palestinians but also 275 Million or so people in surrounding countries.

Want to be fed? I recommend moving somewhere that has available employement since there is little farmland still unclaimed by some entity.

Start shooting zionists who are on Palestinian land.

so basically you endorse arabs moving to arab lands.

 to the settlers. They are brave and heroic. Not only do they have to fight for freedom against terrorist, they have to fight their own military.

wow, so being a jewish extremist is ok, but palestinian extremist isnt. right. settlers are as extreme as hamas, but they have the IDF to protect them. I assure u they'd stoop to terrorism if they were left to themselves.

jewish "extremist" burns olive trees and settles on property
palestinian extremist straps bombs to their chest and blow up jews in cafes and discos.

yea, i pick the jew side any day, every day, all day.

Ya see, that's where you take a turn down the partisan freeway; I've long said that if I was at the prez level one of the first things I'd do is immediately stop all aid grants/subsidies foreign and domestic and only give future donations on a performance basis- we give money you act in what ever manner we desire or you never see any again.

Of course part of this would be continued defense assets for Taiwan/Israel as that would serve the global interest of the county even if it doesn't match yours.

$900 Million. Fine and dandy. When Hamas won the election (not took power in Gaza) US Aid immediately suspended their project to rebuild the Israeli controlled (Area C) and SUPPOSEDLY maintained section of the Ramallah-Jerusalem highway. This is a road that hadn't been paved in decades. Germany eventually stepped in and took care of the job, God bless them. It wasn't until very recently that US Aid resumed humanitarian projects in the West Bank.

Also, after the 2006 election, the PA Minister of Finance himself released a document proving that nearly $1 billion dollars in aid had been pilfered by the PA leadership. Talk to some Palestinians, some of them actually prefer, in retrospect, having to deal directly with the Israeli Civil Administration and the occupation forces than the PNA, who are nothing more than an overglorified middleman/Mike Rowe (from Dirty Jobs) for the Israeli government. When someone gets "interrogated" by Palestinian authorities, the IDF picks them up a couple of hours later. When you apply for an ID card or permit, the PNA just handles the paperwork for the Israelis. It really is a joke, nothing good came from Oslo but more closures and more taxes. At least with the CA/IDF you knew exactly what you were dealing with.

Many of the governments of that area are formed based on deeply religious overtones, greatly conflicting with Israel's secular state, which also happens to have a highly Jewish population.
Israel's strong Jewish majority was a goal of the Zionist movement from it's beginning rather than any matter of happenstance, and that majority was accomplished by means of massive immigration along with ethnically cleansing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the region in the months prior to the formation of Israel, both inside and beyond the area given to Israel in the UN partition plan, and hundreds of thousands more since then. Hence the refugee issue which is so crucial to peaceful resolution of this conflict, yet which Israel refuses to address. But if you care to be honest with yourself here, you'll have to admit that the issue was not that the Arab states didn't want Jewish neighbors, but rather they couldn't simply stand by and watch their Arab neighbors be displaced.

Sure Palestine was once part of the Ottoman Empire. So are you going to disavow the existence of of Florida too since it is part of the US?

Anyway, since it seems you are having so much trouble figuring out the location of Palestine, I recommend finding someone who worked with The Jewish Agency for Palestine to explain it to you.

I have no idea whatsoever how some ancient texts or any bs changes the fact that different people were living there when they were so rudely kicked out - Fuck anyone who thinks that was acceptable.. put yourself in the shoes of those removed and you would want to kill the ones who said they are so superior that you need to move so we can live here..

If I came to your neighborhood and told you some ancient text said my family owned this whole area for 5 mile radius and told you to GTFO and then forced you to leave with guns and tanks.. what would you do?

Actually Jewish extremist back in the early 19th century were strapping bombs to themselves and blowing up buses. That is how the Palestinians learned. This is outlined in former heads of the IDF biographies from the 50s where they say, (paraphrasing) "they don't blame the Palestinians, if someone came to my country and stole my land and killed my family I would do the same"

And today Jewish extremist don't have to kill themselves, they have US drones flying 1000s of feet up in the sky killing for them. The extremist, control Israeli politics.

The reason why you think this way is because of the PR campaign Israel is so good at. If they are really being moral then they should have allowed the media into Gaza. If they have nothing to hide then why was there numerous arrest warrants for Ariel Sharon throughout Europe for for war crimes along with many other Israeli politicians.

IMO if you have an arrest warrants on you for war crimes from the Hague then your country F'd up

Actually Lupi the Law is against Israel.
The World Court deems the border beyond 1967 ILLEGAL.
The World Court deems all settlements beyond those borders ILLEGAL.
Ariel Sharon along with many other heads of Israel and the IDF have arrests WARRANTS for crimes against humanity from the Hague.

The facts are also against Israel
There are hundreds of thousands of land deeds that date back hundreds of years that prove the land is Palestinian land.

If you go back to UN resolutions I'm sure you will find information that prove it as well.

Denial is not a valid argument, it simply admits guilt.

They can't do anything because Israel does whatever it wants to do without regard for anyone else on the planet. And nobody can do anything because they are a nuclear power.

I'm sure if Israel respected the World Courts findings and pulled back its settlements(colonies) and borders the world would warmer to them. Boycotts would ease, trade embargos would be lifted, and so on.

Blatant disregard for what the World deems legal
Blatant disregard for other people

That is the problem today. Nobody cares about anybody but themselves. It will be the downfall of man kind.
