Israeli officer indicted in girl's shooting

I read that all charges were dropped a month or two ago. Maybe not. I hope he gets it.

What's going on in that 2nd pic?

She was probably just faking being dead and had a grenade behind her back. I think I read where that army officer had been shot in the face the day before, also. Where's the petition?

This incident should be Exhibit A in any discussion about the importance of peace. Who do we blame? The officer?

I know Moonbeam will take some of the blame, but will the rest of us?

If it was the other way around I'm sure there would be a parade in his honor.

it's because of that reason that we are righteous, not because "god is on our side"

You must not have read the 'other' thread yet. 😉

??

She had explosives anyways. What's wrong with being pissed off and shooting the corpse of an enemy terrorist (not even combatant) who was going to blow you to smithereens?

related, this is expecialy shocking

On Sunday, IDF Chief of Staff Moshe Ya'alon also bitterly criticized the program for the report shown several weeks ago, which he labelled "deceitful and shocking."

The tapes of the soldiers' communications at the time of the incident indicate that one of the troops identified Al-hamas by saying: "It's a little girl. She's running right now, heading east."

After the first shots, another soldier said: "She's behind the ditch and nearby pile of dirt, half a meter away. Scared to death. The [bullets] hit right near her, centimeters away."

At a later stage, the commander reported to his base: "This is the situation: We fired shots and killed her. [She's] dressed in jeans and a tank top. She also had a kaffiyeh [Muslim head covering] on her head. I also confirmed the kill."

it was all caught on video and audio and you hear one IDF guy say (paraphrase) "i dont care if they are 3 years old kill eveybodyback there"

It is not the first time, and it won't be the last.

If Israel has some guts this/these men will be charged with crimes against humanity and sentenced to death.

Taejin, explain yourself.
