What confusion in your statement!. I object to my tax dollar going to Israel because they use a good portion of it to oppress Palestinians. I don't really have any objection to countries who oppress only their own people. This means, I wouldn't be in Iraq. When you use the conjunctive ("and") to connect to connect these two distinctly different ideas, you do me, yourself, and the board a disservice.
EDITED: The U.S. has supported some of the most abusive regimes in the world.
It's not just that, Israel is one of the wealthiest nations in the world yet it gets more aid than any other nation from the US. We pay for Israel's oppresive policies then we complain when people say they hate us. What do you expect?
