All those who thought Tik Tok's ties to China were the reason the US wanted it banned or under US control are really out of touch.

here is a link to a point in the video just before they start playing the leaked recording of Jonathan Greenblatt CEO (iirc his title) of ADL talks about tik tok as a reason younger people have been more quickly to reject Israel's military actions in Gaza which has now resulted in the mass starvation of children.

Of course when it was first covered people were still denying that Israel's response had already gone beyond all measure of proportionality.

Yeah the Tik Tok case had gained momentum not only after Oct 7, but esp after the US campus protests last year which must have spooked the Israelis. Even though legislation was passed to have it sold to US buyers or banned, Trump held off on that. I guess no need to ban or sell once the Zios had their content moderators onboard. Like what they have now on Facebook, Meta and likely on Twitter.
