It's weird listening to people close to you embrace the removal of a millions of people from the planet.
They see no distinction between Palestinians and Hamas and are fully supportive of palestinian elimination.
They don't see Palestinians as human.

"There is no such thing as Palestine"
"They had there chance and they refused "
"Why don't they go to Egypt or Jordan or.."
"That land belongs to Jews, it's in the bible"
"Why didn't they do anything with that land"
"What about the hostages!"
"No one (Israelis) should have to live like that worrying about rockets!"
"All those people crying about Palestinians, what about Africa? Have you heard about what's going on in africa?"
Etc etc etc

I guess we can't have to long a break from some good old ethnic cleansing.

After they wipe out the Palestinians and annex west bank and gaza strip, I wonder what will be the next target.

The awkward part is talking it out.

What would happen if Palestinians just did everything that those people said "All they needed to do was..."

What happens to open immigration and Palestinians entering Israeli society and culture?
What happens when the population grows?
What happens if they receive investments on traditional Palestinians areas from other countries and gain economic power?
What if Palestinian areas want self determination and self governance? Let's say they want to exploit the gas reserves they are sitting on?
Perhaps create a self defense force to protect their assets?

The far right in Israel are pretty clear they will not allow dilution of their national identity.

The far right in the US have been very clear that their religious doctrine requires Israel to be ready for their crazy doomsday bullshit.
Palestinian doesn't fit in that narrative and they need that land cleared out.

Gaza strip is done. It's going to be cleared out eventually.
They are chipping away at the West bank and poking away trying to stir up a more organized resistance movement so that they can repeat the game plan in Gaza.

This is really screwing with my plans to visit.
I'm going to send a letter to all sides to call a truce so I can go on vacation. I just need a week.
 
Israel knows they have 4 years to fast forward the slow-motion genocide that it's been waging for the past 70+ years.

It's mopping up Gaza and next will be the West Bank.

This is basically the same post I made in this thread 227 pages ago, and one of my first posts over 10 years ago on this forum.

Nothing has changed but the timetable.

Same. I think the turning point was the mass spread of the internet in the 90s and Israel's "new historians" (Ilan Pappe, Avi Shlaim, Tom Segev, etc) who begun to debunk Israelis lies and myths about the 1948 war. Much of their work was based on Israeli historical archives that ran counter to the official narrative. Basically cat was out of the bag from that point on.

And of course with the world observing for decades Israels consistent pattern of lies with virtually anything they say about the Palestinians, Iran, Iraq and other adversaries, historical events, lands seized for "security" reasons rather than settlement purposes, etc.

Sadly though much of the Western (esp US) media often still toes the Israeli narrative and keeping uninformed observers of the conflict, well, uninformed.

Brave of them to sign the petition. Considering that they don't care even about their own citizens and have shot and killed them before, all 120,000+ of them could be charged with treason and the death penalty.
