It only makes sense that the WH/congress should have a look over before any munitions are passed on to Israel. Both as a check to make sure that the DoD don't get too big for their britches (like one cashiered general McChrystal) and think they get to run foreign policy and as some pull over Israel especially since it already receives a billion+ every year in military aid.

Sale was already approved by the proper oversight people.

If the WH/Congress delegates authority for such, then there should not be complaints when that authority is exercised.

Politicians are trying to ride the fence and those splinters are starting to jab them.

hmm, can you drive the car off the lot without telling the salesman?

They did tell the salesman since the salesman was the Pentagon. I think a more apt analogy would be 'But can you buy the car without re-approval of the dealership owner even though the dealership owner already pre-approved the sale'.

And the dealership already parked the car in your driveway because they knew you were due for a new car.

No; and much of that reason is due to outside regulations. However, I do have friends in the area who sell things & have said something to the effect of allowing me to take them whenever I wanted & just pay them later when I see them. I guess you have to be friends, rather than strangers, for that to work though. Heck, I just did that last week - needed some bags of ice late at night; went down, got the bags out, and paid for them the next morning. Isn't that sort of like the agreement Israel had with the US?

Well, of course it does. You're paranoid. The rest of us understand that people and nations can have existing agreements in place.

well yahoo and other news sources are printing this story so it HAS to be true. i believe everything i read.

http://news.yahoo.com/white-house-dark-over-arms-supplies-israel-report-094321624.html

and lol at them ever being bystanders or mediators in this whole mess

The newspaper said Netanyahu had essentially "pushed the administration aside," reducing US officials to bystanders instead of their usual role as mediators.

This is more of you trying to deflect the topic......of course Netanyahu told Obama to screw off......that doesn`t mean he was referring to our friendship with Israel or referring to any agreements that were had verbal or written......you just don`t get it do you....

Try as you may it seems you like getting it in the ole kazoo.......

The United states stores arms in Israel just like we store arms in European countries who are allies with us.......that way if a conflict start we do not need to move massive amounts of munitions......yet in every country that we store arms in...I would dare say (since I do not know)that part of that agreement is that if need be they can use those arms in the need arises...makes sense.....

I do know that for a very long time Israel has had access to what we store in Israel on an as needed basis...
