Several things come to mind -- Jerusalem!
Israel will never ever agree to share Jerusalem or for that matter allow another nation to make any part of Jerusalem the capital.

Then the international mediators screwed up big time if they expect israel to to present them anything concerning security...lol

This will never happen -- The Palestinians want to establish their state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war.

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — The Israeli and Palestinian leaders on Sunday blamed each other for the impasse in newly launched peace efforts, raising doubts about whether the dialogue would continue just weeks after it began.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of spoiling the low-level talks, saying it failed to present detailed proposals for borders and security requested by international mediators. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the Palestinians "refused to even discuss" Israeli security needs.

For the past month, the sides have held Jordanian-mediated exploratory talks at the urging of the Quartet of international Mideast mediators — the U.S., U.N., E.U. and Russia. The goal of the talks has been to find a formula to resume formal peace negotiations, with the aim of forging an agreement this year.

The Palestinians say a three-month period set by the Quartet for the exploratory talks ended last week, counting from the day the mediators issued their marching orders last October.

Last paragraph -- The Palestinians want to establish their state in the West Bank, Gaza Strip and east Jerusalem, territories Israel captured in the 1967 Mideast war. The Palestinians, who regained control of Gaza in 2005 after Israel's unilateral withdrawal, have said they are willing to swap some land to enable Israel to keep some of the largest of dozens of settlements it has built on occupied lands. In talks with Netanyahu's predecessor, the Palestinians suggested swapping 1.9 percent of the West Bank, while Israel proposed 6.5 percent.

Palestinians reject any deal that leaves east Jerusalem under Israeli control.

2012 and Palestinians are still in daydreamland. Perhaps even by the 100th Israeli independence anniversary they still won't have a state LOL.

That's a shame that the Palestinians wanted to attack Israel in 1967. What they ought to do is give the former the land Israel did not win by conquest (since the UN is not legitimate) and then let Israel keep the lands it won in 1967.

At least get your facts right Anarchist420. It was Arab armies that threatened Israel in 1967, the Palestinians had nothing to do with it. But since there were and still are many Palestinian living in the areas captured during the 1967&73 wars, Israel now has so many more Palestinians to treat in a subhuman manner.

If we take the threat title at face value, that is exactly what the Palestinians and Israelis are doing now. Blaming each other for the collapse of the talks.

But in the larger context, its the international community that is judge, jury, and executioner of whom the blame belongs.

As it, IMHO, proves the Palestinians have been right along, with out a total settlement freeze, there is no point in talks with the Israelis.

And when the freeze requested by the Palestinians happened, the Palestinians refused to talk. They refused to even attempt to talk.

And the world saw that happen.
The world also saw the attacks on tourists and the school bus.

The Palestinians were egging on the Arabs. they never stood by wringing their hands in woe.

another anti-semitic thread by OP. anti-Palestine = anti-semite

While it is true that Arabs are a semetic people, the modern use of the term anti-semite refers to anti-Jew.

Antisemitism (also spelled anti-semitism or anti-Semitism) is suspicion of, hatred toward, or discrimination against Jews for reasons connected to their Jewish heritage. According to a 2005 U.S. governmental report, antisemitism is "hatred toward Jews—individually and as a group—that can be attributed to the Jewish religion and/or ethnicity."[1] A person who holds such views is called an "antisemite".

Israel will give up part of Jerusalem to another religion (their only holy city - and one so holy that Jews say God Himself lives there in The Temple - which is currently destroyed) when the Muslims give up part of Mecca to another religion and when the Catholic Church gives up part of the Vatican to another religion.

Yes, we all agree it will never happen.
