Sharon sucks, Israel needs to be straightened out, they are a pretty slippery bunch, that's what happens when you get how many dollars a year from the USA in AID.

What's your point most small countries and some larger ones get US Aid...
Dari I don't understand what you propose the US do to change power in Israel and for what reasons?

You must be high. Israel is a true democracy with a secular lead government and by most accounts represents a defensive posture to a bunch of hateful neighbors.
OH and one more thing, they have nukes which sorta gauntees your security from "regime change" or any other high minded outside intervention.![]()

I didn't say he was or wasn't a terrorist...by defination a terrorist is "One who governs by terrorism or intimidation" (dictionary.com).
The problem is there is that the middle east is way too tense and all the countries are ready to blow something up at the littlest thing. I still don't see why isreal has been singled out.

Because Israel is illegaly occupying land, inflicting collective punishment on an entire population, has been violating UN resolutions for 35 years (funny no one mentions that), building and expanding illegal settlements, and getting half the world to hate us even more by using weapons that our tax dollars pay for. Think about it, when an Arab person watches one of Sharon's "incursions" into Palestinian terriroty and sees Apache helicopters and M1A1 Abrams tanks all over the place, and is aware that we basically give them to Israel as a gift, don't you think he's going to hold the US accountable?
BTW, terrorist also means:
adj : characteristic of someone who employs terrorism (especially as a political weapon); "terrorist activity" n : a radical who employs terror as a political weapon (dictionary.com)
In regards to Sharon, I think cutting off comunication (roads, telephone etc.) between towns, blowing up homes, random incursions to catch militants with no regard for collateral damage, preventing people from being able to work and put food on the table and shooting children who are throwing stones is pretty terrifying. And it achieves the political purpose of showing the Israeli people that he is tough on the Palestinians. You decide.

Your also asking a group of people who religion was the only reason that they were hunted, gathered and slaugtered to trust / lower their defences to the people who invented modern terrorism.
I agree with you that expanding into the territories that are not their is wrong. I don't believe that Israel is a terrorist nation but a nation that is fighting back against it. The problem with developing superior technology is that your opponnent will realize that they can never beat you in a battle. This is where the "great" idea of bombing markets/schools/houses began for those without tech. Israel won't stand for it, they throw done the morale high ground and say fine we will do the same... I am not saying its right just how it is
Btw I still don't see what Israel is in violation of ... people stated that 30? un resolutions were violated what were they and what are the consequences thereof?
please no flames just facts. I'm not saying anyones wrong just show me your side's info.![]()
