ISO Graphics card recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a new video card to drive 2 new EIZO CG301W monitors.
Native resolution is 2560x1600

I will be using these only for Digital Capture and Premiere Pro editing.
No gaming is done on this system.

So I need a card or cards that are blazing fast, price is less of a consideration than speed and over all performance.

Current rig:
P4 2.8 GHZ
4 gigs ram
U320 RAID 0
ATI 9600
Win2K SP4

So yea, time for a serious upgrade.

Is this fast enough? (I'm assuming you have an AGP board.) It has two DVI outputs. Might be bottlenecked a bit by the rest of your rig though.

Sorry I should have stated that I am upgrading the whole systen to a Dual quad system at the same time so AGP is no longer a factor.

You'll want a Quadro, something like this.

EDIT>> I'm not recommending that card in particular (seems to have fan issues according to Newegg reviews), but Quadro is what you want.

It doesn't matter whether it's a Quadro/FireGL or not if you are only doing video editing work. That is mainly CPU/hard drive dependent and all the video cards will perform pretty much the same. You just want something with two dual link DVI ports.

The digital capture software is Capture 1 pro which is very video intensive.
Been useing this for teh past two years and better video cards do make a huge differance.

Video cards only have any effect in 3D programs though, apart from the video acceleration features which work equally well on the cheaper cards of a given generation. Something like a 8600GT for example should work well for you as long as you verify that it has two dual link ports.
