Here's mine

Another dual monitor setup. Actually, the big LCD switches back and forth between the primary monitor for my PC and the second monitor for the mac at the push of a button.

23" lcd goodness.

My hook up 17" flat crt when I get home and if I get enough room.

damn, nice monitor. My next upgrade, 2 24 inch lcd widescreen.

🙂

But not anytime soon though.

lol yeah it would be nice.

I was thinking 2x LCD or one big one? Didn't like the idea of running dual screens with at least a 2cm gap between them. That wouldn't be so good for dvd watching or what not. Aslo not many games support dual screens so I would be resigned to one LCD for gaming at 18" or 19". Wanted would have been nice was a 19" lcd that did 1600x1200. 18" at 1600x1200 is too small for me.

The crazy thing is you an get an ibm or iiyama 22lcd that runs 3000x1900 something! Crazy! Buts about $5K + and definately out of budget........

actually, dvd is pretty good with 2 lcd. Instead of stretching it, i mirror the video. so watching dvd on 2 lcd is pretty cool.

btw, hans, I thought you were a laptop person?

i have a laptop too... a vpr matrix 180b5. but it stays in my backpack all the time...

i've actually started getting sick of that thing, the lcd rubs against the wrist rest and the paint is slowly coming off. the fit and finish on that thing now that i've had it for a while is crap.

any compaq would not have that problem. granted its a fast laptop. but yeah there are definitely problems.

i guess i built the desktop figuring i wanted something to store all my files that didnt move all the time so i wouldnt break the hard drive. its a pretty cheap desktop cost about $340 without the monitor, i dont game much so a dual channel ddr333 nforce2 igp setup is enough. xp2100+ that can do 2700+ with a voltage bump (idont run it at that its too noisy, gotta set my fan to max).

off topic but i'd have to say the nforce2 platform is one oft he best ever. i've used intel i845g setups, but for the money , you can get a board with everything onboard, and even decent 3d .... i hvae no slots used on my desktop and its just great.
