Isn't the 7900GS supposed to be officialy released today?

No, it's the same as the GT except with 20 pixel units and 7 vertex. GT has 24/8. Very similar to a 7800GT, but with higher core/mem. OC's fairly well, same core as 7900GT/GTX - G71 core

Just wonder if it's hackable, bios wise. If it is then it's an awesome card for the price.

I've heard some things about these cards having alot of problems.

Did a little testing in 3DMark2005, got 7210 stock 450/1320

Did a couple tests up to 550/1400, will push further today

See if you can unlock the extra quad with RivaTuner.

K, I got the 7900GS from woot but never really played with RivaTuner. Just dl it. Anyone know where I need to go to try to unlock the extra quad?

RT doesn't seem to work with either of the beta drivers I tried. Hopefully an updated version will let us unlock it to full 7900GT.

the process should be identical, most important check and see if the Pixel unit is "masked" and not "disabled"

ARGH! They say disabled. I checked them off and it says 24PP but on the main menu it still shows 20PP. Ah well, still a great deal
