Isn't it great when....

...you actually make an upgrade....a big one....when you need it.....not something puny like a 10% increase (-_- people who go from 9800 pro --> xt)

Like how hot is it when you play the game and its night and day....not just a few random fps here and there.....

That's how I felt when I go from
P3 800 + 256 mb pc133 + gf2 mx
Athlon Xp 2600+ + 512 ddr + radeon 9700 pro

😀

Nice upgrade 🙂 reminds me of when I went from a P3 733 512mb + GF2 Ultra to an AXP 1500+ 1GB of DDR and Geforce 3 🙂 that was a pretty nice jump

My biggest jump was from a TNT2 Vanta to a GeForce 4 Ti 4400. Boy was that a nice one. Things actually had SHADOWS! It was like... WOW! But, that card not resides in an HTPC, and I'm playing on my 9800, which feels like a similiar jump just do to the massive amounts of quality and detail.

I went from a Compaq with 266mhz celery with 48 mb of ram with onboard ATI Rage and this is the kicker a 3300 rpm 6GB 5 1/2 inch!! hardrive. To a Amd thunderbird 1.4ghz 512mb of ram and a gerforce 2 deluxe and a 40 gb harddrive. And my current computer is in my sig. I wont be getting a new one for at least 3 years.

75mhz 16mb SIMM 1.12 GB hdd --> 1ghz geforce3, 384MB pc133. that was four years ago i think. that old donkey just fizzled out last year, and i now use a better rig.
