Have you considered the fact that ISIS existing might be in the interest of some people or groups of people?

I mean, if America really wanted to do something about ISIS, they would have done it. A long, long time ago.

But yeah, we conveniently left our vehicles (via Iraqis) so ISIS can get them. Or some other story that the media has told us.

Sorry but going in and getting those vehicles is far from simple or "convenient". It's difficult and dangerous. That's not the media telling you that, it's military and, frankly, common sense. Military operations have real consequences, not just the collateral civilian damage but the lives of soldiers. No drone or AI bot exists to solve that problem. You don't get those vehicles back without some good guys dying, so how about you give that order?

Republicans and the GOP created the instability that allowed isis to grow. They own it.

Obama and his crew have kept this ISIS fear constantly going. Sorry but I don't think the issue is Democrat or Republican. It's more than that. Everything is about what interests are at play. Nothing happens by accident or by mistake.

It just came to me..as I thought of the moderation around here.

You are not long for this place.

The GOP lied to the nation to go into a war of profit. They played on the fears of the republican voters and now here we are. Obama has been blocked by a racist congress at every turn.

I suppose next you'll provide a link from Huffington Post calling it news, right?
Bwahahahahahaha! Dipshits like you are exactly why Trump won.I really would love to make you realize that.
Also dipshits like Perknose and other various Colons around this forum.

People have had enough of your fucktardedness.

You should come hang out in la. We can go kick it out in Joshua tree.

So you believe that some group of 1,500 people overtook a city of 1.8 million while 30,000 Iraqi soldiers deserted?

Yes, you are right that the President who took us to war was a Republican but most Democrats after 9/11 went on this patriotic BS as well. No side is good.

As far as Obama, it doesn't really matter, to be honest. He's been saying the same old story just as Trump will say about fearing the so-called Muslim boogeyman.

This rag tag group of a few thousand men in old (and brand new) pickup trucks can hold on to massive territory right next door to US military bases. I mean, c'mon.

The US defeated Germany in WW2, supposedly brought the Soviet Union to its knees (directly or indirectly) but has no clue how to defeat ISIS despite having numerous military bases all over the Middle East. There are US military bases in Turkey, Iraq and the Gulf States. Heck, even Jordan is a close US "ally" and would probably let US use its soil.

But no, we are going to leave the battle of ISIS in the hands of Iraqis who "supposedly" deserted and ran for the hills a few years ago while defending Mosul from 1,500 ISIS. All the while leaving those humvees and other equipment all over, conveniently placed for ISIS to take over!

Where is the US that defeated Saddam Hussein in a few minutes? Where is the US that did not care what anyone thought and defeated Saddam's military in a few minutes?

Why are we all of a sudden caring for the feeling of Iraqis? I though ISIS was the worst thing to ever happen to this world. But the US is carefully tiptoeing around the issue while trying not to offend anyone.

The president lied to everybody about the intel. Thats why the demo voted with him.

As for the rest of your dumb post... yikes!

Of course the post is dumb. It's contrary to everything you and most people have been led to believe.

I'm sure Trump will continue reminding the people how bad ISIS is (or maybe some other mythical "Islamic" group will take over and replace ISIS).

The democratic party is currently dominated by centrists, ie half-republicans.

Omelets, Belgian waffles, french toast, I own breakfast.

Kids love it. Adults welcome too.

Be careful, when it comes to good home cooked food I'm like a stray dog. Once you feed me once it's really hard to get rid of me. Not that I try to freeload or anything, I'll buy the food as long as you cook it!

To be fair, $1B in military equipment is like 17 vehicles, and the best the dummies can think of is to make them go boom.

But yeah, W was an idiot, and Iraq was a scam.

Many of us said he was a dope during the campaign then, but hey, why start listening now.

Have you considered that the purpose of our strategy is to try and ensure we don't have to come back to kill them again in five years?

If simply killing ISIS were our goal and we didn't care about cost we could have done it a long time ago. We do care about costs though, both political and financial. Hence your confusion.

So America has realized that killing and destroying other people only further increases hate and motive for retaliation? Is this what you are saying? Or is there another elaborate strategy here to defeating this mythical ISIS group?

By the way, it appears that 100,000 soldiers of various backgrounds in Iraq are trying to "reclaim" Mosul. It's kind of strange that the fight to take back Mosul would come several years after this large city was taken by only a few thousand ISIS.
