This is what happens when a large part of your population consists of hardcore leftists and apologists.

The British government should take strict action and jail the 'youths' that did this, unless they want to deal with an Islamist insurgency problem of their own in a few years.

What happens? From the article "A Metropolitan police spokesman said on Thursday that they had received no complaints about offensive flags in the Tower Hamlets area. The Dutch government has banned the public display of the Isis flag, but it is not illegal in the UK."

No where in your linked article is there confirmation that this was the flag of ISIS. Also this incident was in the UK, by some misguided youths; had it been in the Netherlands then possibly the authorities might have acted.

If you're so worried about it go over to the UK or better yet Iraq and do something about it. Be sure and send us a postcard and let us know how it's working out for you.

The difficulty is the double standard.

In the area cited, flying a Union flag, or a St George's flag is liable to get you arrested for "causing offence".

This is the kind of thing that a CBD will latch onto. The poor poor possessor of a CBD!!! It's a beautiful day and one whiff of the possibility there's a fanatical Mooslem somewhere millions of miles away and the poor soul becomes unglued. It takes a special kind of idiot to stick his hand in a vice and tighten it while claiming to be under attack.

It should fly right up there with a Nazi flag.

It's not the flag that's the problem, it's the genocidal freaks who placed it there. The symbol tells you who they are.

I have heard the Bangladeshi population of Tower Hamlets called many things but never "hard-core leftists".
Since when was ISIS/ISL leftist? "Apologists", when did they ever apologise?
As a politico-religious movement it is about as far to the right of the Islamo-fascist spectrum as you can go, before becoming ultra-violet.

I note that you live in India. Well, all I can say is "Physician heal thyself". You are far ahead of us on the way to that particular religious 'civil war'.

instead of fear mongering, can you post a pic of the flag referenced in the article and compare it to an ISIS flag (whatever the hell that looks like)? the article states that it was a black flag with arabic writing, not an actual ISIS flag. :\

A black flag with white Arabic writing, similar to those flown by jihadist groups,....

Don't worry in India it would be outlawed but you would only have to pay a bribe of 20 rupees and the cops would turn the other way in your overly corrupt country.

I didn't know flags were dangerous. Are there flags of mass destruction?

People are dangerous on their behalf.

How society tolerates or legally allows Nazis and Islamic extremists is a rather pointed and interesting question. It can become a rather messy discussion on where exactly we draw the line.

How much hatred do we tolerate?

That's an easy one. As a Christian inspired nation that believes in the dignity of man and the presence of God given rights within us all seeing as how we were created in God's image, that profound and infinite God who loves us all equally, we do what he did and go up on the cross and suffer and forgive. In short we return hate with love because we are true believers that the reason that God loves us all equally is because we are all the same, all images of Him.

In short we have the courage of faith in love instead of being cowards who expect others to save us from yet others in fear's name. Fear is the love killer, what is when love is not. Relax and be happy.

let freedom ring, until you disagree.
Let freedom ring until your enemies all of a sudden wake up and decide they can take advantage of that freedom and legally infiltrate your country......

Which is the truth.....

Just look at California.....mind you the Hispanic people are not our enemies but they will eventually be the majority population. I can see in our lifetime new laws making Mexican the main spoken language in California.....

I see hatred from those who think flying a flag is dangerous. So how much hatred do we tolerate?

Even thought I would never burn an American flag I stand by the rights of those who chose to do so.

He's never cared what the palestinians, I'm sorry... "Hamas" does, and he never will.

There is never a need to justify their actions because they never can do wrong. They're just acting in self defense. Even when they fire rockets at a nuclear reactor.
