ISIS destoys the tomb of Jonah with explosives

They just wanna have fun. The potential female genital mutilation of millions of women that the UN is concerned about is sweet as well. Yes this is sarcasm.
 
Here's something I don't get. I've read that ISIS destroyed the tomb because they considered it anti-Islamic. But Jonah is a very prominent and important figure in Islam, not just Judaism and Christianity.

I'm an atheist (agnostic, technically), I don't necessarily believe that Jonah existed (and if he did, he certainly never lived in a whale), and I still oppose this action. Whether or not you believe something actually happened, you can still be opposed to desecrating holy sites. These are the actions of imbeciles.

And now you know the ISIS and the Wahabbis are not actually Islamic. Do you know how much shit has been destroyed in Arabia after the House of Saud built their kingdom?

Chicago, IL – An Arkansas man is alive after being swallowed by a whale on Saturday while visiting the Shedd Aquarium. Jonah Anderson, 24, is being treated for mild dehydration at Chicago’s Mercy Medical Center after being regurgitated early this morning.

The incident happened while viewing the Beluga Whale exhibit at Shedd. Witnesses say the whale, Puiji, came out of the pool, grabbed Anderson, and proceeded to swallow him whole. Anderson remained unharmed inside the whale until this morning when he was spit back onto the viewing platform.

“This is the first time any of our whales have exhibited aggressive behavior,” Shedd’s vice president of communications Andrea Smalec tells us. “We frequently allow special guest to interact with the whales, our staff even occasionally swim with the whales. This is completely unexpected.”

Animal trainers tried unsuccessfully to extract Anderson from the whale during the three days. Anderson was able to communicate with outsiders through text message during the stay. Friends and family tell us that Anderson remained positive and relaxed during the time.

“He seemed really upbeat,” Jonah’s girlfriend Mary, who was with him on the trip, tells us. “Of course this is not the first time something like this has happened. We were on a boat tour outside San Francisco last year when a whale snatched him from the side. That one scared him a bit, this time it all seemed routine. Not sure why this keeps happening.”

Doctors expect to release Anderson from the hospital later today. He hopes to return to Arkansas to visit his cousin Daniel who is in critical condition following a fall into the lion exhibit at the Little Rock Zoo.

I think if flip ISIS over we'll find "Made in KSA" stamped on its ass.
 
Good riddance. The Abrahamic religions are cancerous. Just as it would put a damper on Christianity if the American far right wiped out any mention that disagreed with their beliefs that Jesus worshiped the wealthy, loved guns, and hated blacks; ISIS reducing the Middle East to their far right beliefs should help free some minds currently shackled to Islam.

ZB: Well, that depends a great deal on what they do themselves as they acquire more capability for modern warfare and as, perhaps, they are increasingly driven by the morality of national, but even more so sectarian, motives. I, for example, am baffled by the whole history of the recent tragedy in Syria. It's unclear to me what exactly the Saudis and the Qataris thought they were accomplishing by launching a sectarian war in Syria, and I am even more baffled by what we thought we were going to accomplish by endorsing it as we did in such a hesitant, undefined way.

I am a atheist and I agree. However some people are way to knee-jerkingly militant about their supposed alleged atheism to think clearly about such discretion of what one should still consider to be a important historical site in the context of human history in the past and present.

E.g, if ISIS destroyed the temple of Athena in Athens, Greece I'd be very much upset because again of its historical relevance to human history not because I believe in the old Greek gods.
