make stops along the way =P

all I'm hearin' is more excuses hahahah

Seriously though, looking back, my only regret is not going to the other 2 LA shows.

The closure doesn't last very long.

Ugh.... I think I'll have to do Boston. Too pricey otherwise.

God damn it Aaron, you know you're going to get bored.

Any cool ATOT'ers in Boston want to hook a brother up? :p (no creeps plz)

Maybe they can regroup and replace the vocalist with somebody that can actually sing.

He's GOT to have some sort of new musical project. I worry that it won't be nearly as good, but he's too creative to just stop.

It won't be... ISIS is 80% Aaron but it will never be as good if he decides to do anything else unfortunately. There is a chemistry there that just doesn't exist in any other band in the genre.

Decided to go to Boston because 2x the ISIS is better and cheaper than only getting to be in Montreal for one day. I'll get to spend the weekend in Boston and coincidently one of my best friends happens to be there that weekend for work. I've been playing 'In The Absence of Truth' nonstop.

They won't be anywhere near me, looks like I'll miss 'em. :(

I went back and listened to Panopticon for the zillionth time last night.

god damn this song is just unreal and is one of my favorites... at 4:57 after the amazing breakdown this part just has no words to describe it. The drumming here is legend. The slow fade in of the guitars brings the entire concept of this album into focus for a few seconds of amazing clarity. Fucking shitty youtube quality washes out most of the cymbals unfortunately.

Love all the "who?" posts. What, is Google down today? You guys are lazy, and if you've never even heard of Isis, you're probably stuck in mainstream shit radio world.

This sucks. Isis is awesome, one of the few metal bands I can tolerate. Still listen to Oceanic regularly.

Yeah I just never got the desire to try and be cute and shit all over something they don't even know anything about. Oh well, their loss.

Oceanic is also a masterpiece. I am really glad I have all their releases on vinyl. I ripped mp3s of them because the mixes on the vinyl versions are much better in my opinion than the ones that ended up on CD.

Just an update, got back from seeing them play twice in Boston w/ Melvins and it was definitely a sad but awesome moment. Killer setlist, I actually emailed them asking if they'd play a certain song I'd wanted to hear forever and they emailed back saying it'd be on the setlist. It was a very fitting ending for an amazing band. I picked up the two missing vinyls I had of theirs so I have my complete set which made me very happy.

Last song each night was 'The Beginning and the End'
Fitting indeed. Thanks for all the years of inspiration and support.

Thought it was Isis the clothing line.

Whew!

That's one of my wife's favorite outdoor brands!
