iSight on Windows?

How does it work with Windows? Is anything crippled on it when you do Windows?

There's no driver support with it, if Apple made it for Windows, it would sell pretty well.

If only they did the same thing to it as they did with the iPod and make it cross-platform . . . =/

My understanding is that the iSight is a bog standard IEEE1394 video device(unlike USB a standard actually exists) and shows up as such under Windows. I am, however, given to believe that the sound for it has no driver, so you'll have to use another mic if you fancy that feature. I don't know exactly what Windows software is used to interact with such video devices; but any software that works with standard cameras of the type ought to function here.

I have plugged my iSight into my PC. The video works but the built-in mic does not. However, the brightness level was way out of wack -- it was too bright. I did find a utility somewhere that allowed me to manually set the brightness and it improved things greatly. No idea where I found it though, sorry.
