isdn connection

hi,

i have isdn and the computer where the modem settings says 115,000bps max and i have 128,000bps, how would i increase this to get my downloads to 16k

Some / Most / All -INTERNAL- ISDN Terminal Adapters (the ISDN "Modem") will support speeds to 128K. Unless your TA and serial port both support speeds greater than 115Kbaud (some serial ports will do 230Kbaud), that's as fast as it'll go.

Get an ISDN router and you'll probably see better download speeds, and as a bonus this will get rid of the latency that ISDN TA's introduce. Check ebay for some good deals. For instance, in the next hour or so this Ascend Pipeline 50 is going to sell for a sweet price.

FWIW, I used ISDN at home for years, and with STAC compression enabled on my router AND the NAS I was dialed into (I just happened to be in control of that device as well) I was able to get 16KBps downloads.
