is youtube down again?

I use an addon for FireFox call YouTube Center and it allows you to use HTML 5. YouTube isn't down for me. And dammit! I just updated Flash a few days ago!
 
hmm...youtube is not working for me at all right now. i thought maybe it was just my firefox add on but it doesnt work when i downloaded chrome either. john do they have youtube center for linux, i dont see it in the package manager

right now, youtube will play the ads but not the videos, which makes me think its a youtube issue...

YouTube Center should work in Linux. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/youtube-center/?src=search

Ping YouTube once and see what happens. You may have to uninstall flash with the flash uninstaller and reinstall.

Since you see ads I would install Adblock for Firefox.

Holy crap, how did I not know of Youtube Center sooner? Is there an equivalent for Chrome?

You at least get some based on views as if I had to sit through a ad you would get nothing from me as I wouldn't watch it then or just directly download it. :biggrin:
 
Freaking "Guide" box expands every time I load a new page, no matter if I'm logged in or not.
 
Stupid slow for me right now - buffering... buffering...

I'm even downloading a YT vid via keepvid and it's just not downloading much at all.

Never had a problem before tonight... something must really be wrong!

I use Adblock edge which is like Adblock plus. Does your Adblock in Firefox's addon bar at the bottom left corner look like this?

It doesn't matter. Edge doesn't allow "non intrusive ads", but you can turn that option off in plus.

BTW. Adblock edge or plus will create a shit load of back up files. So I asked here about creating a batch file that will delete the backup files. Edit this and save as a .bat file and double click it once in a while.
