I put mine up around the week before the X-mas week. It stays up for a while though. Probably til the 2nd of January.

no christmas tree this year, since I'm in the process of trying to pack everything up and clean out my apartment in prep for moving out in mid-january.

We put our tree up on the 1st. Its our first nice tree in many years for our first year in our new house. Our last looked distinctly like Charlie Browns Christmas tree after moving it around with the military for 8 years.

I keep mine in a box all year, when I want to use it, I gotta shove a whole bunch of metal poles in it to hang lights on, and put a star at the tip.

Festivus?

I do not think I should... I work at a fruit market and we sell many of those.. My job is moving those trees before the store close...

At our house, it HAS to be up by the wife's b-day, (20th) and down by mine (31st). Some years, we put it up Thanksgiving weekend, other years much later. Depends on how much "X-mas spirit" we have that year...

We have 4 up through out the house. Sizes ranging from 2 ft to 9 ft. Wife likes a variety in the size.
