The various divisions have started their holiday parties hardcore. I must say I have been eating well, everybody stops by to make sure the cancer patient has a full plate :)

We had our holiday concert for our shool yesterday. Went very well. We have school today, tomorrow is a half day. We will have a small classroom party.

Then, I'm off till Jan 2nd.

Holiday seaon is now more obvious. Less amount of visitors and clients are coming every day. Business centre became less noisy. More offices are closed.

Changed my mind. I'm taking all of next week off aside from Thurs night. Gotta grade beams on a bridge. The week after still remains to be seen.

I generally take time off when it's busy not when it's nearly dead like it is near the holidays.

that being said working for major hospital system in CA means there's no such thing as shutting down for the holidays. but since the higher ups typically take off that means it's nice and quiet.

Fly in the ointment. Got a call from from the same client, different job. Looks like I'll be working Thurs day and night :^/

I don't give too many shits about any of this, but I do give some about this client. I might take off the next Tues to make up for it. Maybe not. That's too far ahead to decide. I know one thing, I will not be fetching the draftsman. Fucker... I'm || close to cutting him off. Gotta remember why I do it in the first place. Hard sometimes...

Yes especially tomorrow, Friday. I still have a full day + of work tomorrow. 3-day weekend and then back at it Tuesday.

Personally if I was running any kind of non essential service business I'd just shut down for the week of Christmas. Christmas, spending time with family etc is more important than work. I guess it depends on the job though. Stuff like NOC, and even tech support can't really shut down.

Man, I've been here 5 years and this place effectively shut down after Thanksgiving every year--symptom of the industry. This year somehow we're swamped with projects up through today even. I guess it's a good problem to have.

Holidays started as soon as I got off that snowy effing roof. 2 3"liners for a damn fireplace. not a good spot for a chimney..slippery as fuck and I spent 4 hours doing it because of chimney placement. its all good...i lived, i got paid , i'm getting drunk now.
