I would never give the government a free loan - so I get no refund. I don't know why others would either (with the one exception of compulsive spenders who think this is the only way they can save - but then of course they compulsively spend the refund and so their plan really didn't work).

Refund? What is this of which you speak?

Why have the government keep my money interest free?

I will either break even or get a small refund. Will probably pay off some of the bills from the shopping spree we just went on.

:)

dullard and others are right. I usually end up in this situation, but my tax status changed this last year, so I'm getting a refund. It won't happen again, though, because I will be putting in a new W4 soon.

Unfortunately it is. My wife got a call from her best friend from college who is getting married in April...in Vegas.

So there goes any refund plus some extra for that trip.

I have no idea, don't have my W2's yet. I'm not counting on anything but I'll probably end up with $500-1000. If that's the case I'll pay off credit card debt.

Yeah, was too busy to change my withholdings at work this year and I bought a house last year and also had a baby. So I'll be getting something rediculous like 10% of my gross pretax income back. I won't be spending it though.
