That is total bullsh!t. People are allowed to express their opinions. The judge should have thrown the dammned lawsuit out of the court before it even went to trial!
What a fricken crock! This is like one of us posting they had a bad experience with newegg and getting sued by them!

Sheezus, now even freedom of speech is being taken away from us. 🙁
 
It seems the business owner is doing this to harm the defendants financially........... some have settled out of court (one person lost a domain name and another had to put a banner link to the business website for a year). There are still some defendants that are fighting it all the way.

ps. It seem that the owner is representing himself 😛

well, if they can prove that the statements made were statements made without any truth and delibereatly slanderous, then obviously they deserve compenstation

there is no real excuse for defamating the name of an innocent party here
