if it makes a horrible endless beeping noise when it powers on? And if so whats a good replacement now days for an antec 480 truepower(i lost the reciept and cant remember where i bought it online so i think the warranty is out)

*note* this only happened after i switched motherboards, so im thinking i must have bumped it and busted something loose or something

If it beeps one long or 2 beeps, it has to do with video card or RAM. That's how I remember it, or is it? Try reseating your video card or RAM again.

If it powers up, your PSU is OK.

Its not like a beep from the computer speaker, its like a something is wrong continious beeeeeeeeep.

Wow, never had that situation ever come up before. My only suggestion is to stick an ear to the side of the rig, and try to locate the possible source of problem. Your situation is unique and maybe you can get independent help from another friend. Good luck.....

Well the beep is coming from the power supply so i guess ill just go have to buy a new one tomorrow. Too bad we dont have much close to where i live.

Unhook all cables so the PSU is not connected to anything then use a paperclip or some other jumper method to connect the number 4 wire(green) on top row to number three wire on bottom(black). This will allow you to turn the power supply on without the use of the motherboard.

Contact antec and try to get a replacement, I don't remember needing a reciept..

It may or may not help you. You didnt mention whether or not you hooked it back up to your other motherboard. Doing this is a quck way just to make sure its a pure PSU problem.
Its just what I would do cause I see what things do in different situations.
As of right now you got nothing better to do
