Is your knife not sharp enough?

I was watching a show on TV and happen to see this infomercial ad:
Samurai Sharp

There's something about the cutting angle of the knife before and after using the sharpener. Hehe.

The good thing is that I don't see too many of these infomercial items in my family and friends' places. That's not to say that I haven't encountered any of these items. When I was younger, my dad bought the Flowbee and used that to cut our hair. I had a hard time hearing after the haircut. A friend of mine also got one of those ab cruncher devices. It left a bruise on my belly.

Yep, lots of people fall for it easily. A friend of mine actually bought the clapper when it first came out. She said that was a worthless piece of device. However, I did see one device that is related to the clapper. This device has been making rounds in the infomercial channels. It's an adapter that goes between your mains plug (power plug) and your lamp. It comes with a wireless remote control (it looks like a light switch) that allows you to "cut" power off from your lamp. It reminds me of Zigbee devices. Although, I don't think it uses that protocol because Zigbee devices are supposed to be able to form networks with each other.

heh ceramic rod/carbide sharpeners where you just slide your knife through a notch are like a buck 50 at walmart in the camping section.
not the best way to do it, quick and dirty works if your knife is in real bad shape though.
