The "big lug" crossing the finish line.

First off, I give him kudos for finishing the event and don't want to diminish that accomplishment for him but....(you knew it was coming) at what price did it come at?
Gov jets to Florida amid the budget mess and supposed "fix"? Is that really leadership? A deadline for union talks came and went during that time and now 55 people are laid off(could be due to the unions as well) - don't you think he could have been a more active participant in what matters to the state?

Now that's not the whole story - it gets better(or worse if you've paid attention to his polling numbers...). It looks as thought the Des Moines Register blogger(i guess the "reporters" are now bloggers to an extent - blurring the lines of "journalism" further) did a story which linked to a place that showed photos of the event. The story was taken down by the Register and the reporter told by management that until the story was removed, the governor's office would not respond to any requests made by the newspaper. Any bets on if the story is still up?
The reason it had to be taken down? shirtless pictures of the big lug were on that site(now they are removed there too- go figure) which were just pictures of the event. So much for the free press... until Culver is replaced next fall.
