Is your car lowered?

My old car, 88 GLI was dropped on Eibach Sportlines and Bilstein Sports. Handled great and stiff but horrible for bumps, driveways, etc. My chin spoiler had scratches all over it.
 
I forgot to mention in my last post that my '88 Accord is lowered. It was done by the guy I bought it from, it sits slightly more than a sideways hand-span off the pavement. There are so many entryways I had to take at an extreme angle with that thing, and quite a few I wasn't even able to enter.
 
I live in Dallas, with streets maintained to compare to 1980's-era Beirut. I will never lower a vehicle for this area again. I always felt like a tool for having to slow down so much for railroad tracks and various road defects.
 
No. None of the cars are the racing/performance type so there is no need. I'd rather not sacrifice the ride quality and potentially safety during a collision. Besides, my family has two trucks and lowering a truck is about the dumbest thing you can do. It defeats the purpose of having one...

My ruling is that it's not actually a 'truck' unless it's taller than I am (I'm 6'5"). 😀

 
Amen to the shitty streets of Dallas, my Cobra feels like it's going to fall apart sometimes driving to work hitting some bad spots of the road.

I will, eventually. The Mazda MX3 has too much gap, out of the factory. Plus, any improvement on the MX3's already insane handling would be amazing.

My Legacy is lowered on Tein H-techs. Mild drop with little affect on ride IMHO. I also added Koni adjustable shocks all around. Same combo on my gf's WRX wagon works well as well.

I lowered both for looks and handling. The stock setup on my car was far too floaty for a "sporty" sedan. Of course both cars also got upgraded sway bars front and back.
 
My car is lowered because I replaced the crap stock Pontiac Grand Am springs/shocks/struts with Eibach and KYB. Granted, this was 13 years ago. Big difference in cornering/handling.
 
I've lowered cars in the past for appearance's sake, but I have no current plans of lowering my M3. It doesn't look bad as it is, and I like the idea of being able to take it to carwashes and not worrying about rubbing and ground clearance, etc.
