Can't say mine is a complete A-hole, but sometimes organized in his own way, making it difficult for others.
like sending out 12 million emails a day, updates, schedules, procedures, man I don't have the time or the mind to remember every single email. His office is right next door, figure if it is so important, find me, tell me so there won't be any misunderstanding or excuses about "did you get the email"?
I think he takes things a little too serious, trying to look like a King or something.
Just needed to rant becuase I went in to work yesterday and today, he called me in his office, saying I was not supposed to be at work Monday or today.
I called yesterday and asked a fellow worker to double check the schedule for me if I was supposed to come in, he said, oh ya, you work today.
guess I shouldn't count on anyone in the office.
Seems like everyone had the wrong schedule, but I got reamed for it.
<end rant>

Though this isn't exactly about my boss, it's about the general manager at the car dealership I work at. I had never met him before, since we have 2 dealerships, and I met him for the first time last week. I went into the used car manager's office, and figured that the new face was the new car manager, since people in the car industry change on a regular basis. I asked if anyone (several people in the office) had the key to an office I need to get in to fix the computer. He got up and started yelling at me, asking me who the he** I was, etc etc. He was so rude to me... what a cocky guy

Other than when mime won't give a direct answer, lies when he has to, and pretends to give a sh!t when he couldn't care less, he's a wonderful boss.

cchen, that is a person who has much to hide, and uses intimidation to control others.

My boss is a nice guy, it just annoys the hell out of me that he always has to use my computer to do WebEx demo meetings. His computer crashed one time doing a WebEx demo, and now he is all paranoid it will happen again. So, he uses my computer and I have to fiddle fart around the office for an hour while he does the demo.

My boss didn't think there was such a thing as PIZZA in ITALY... yeah, no joke. Here, I'll set the scene for ya: small company dinner, it's a going-away dinner for our secretary, we order four or five large pizzas, we're all sitting down at a big conference table smackin away & someone makes mention of how thick the crust is on this particular slice they're eating, then i, in my Sicilian nature start going on a rant about pizza, and in the end I make a mention of how "true Sicilian pizza, the crust is wafer thin and it's all about the toppings." Her immediate reply:
"I don't think they have pizza over there..."

Needless to say it was very difficult to restrain from calling her obscene words, it was even harder for the entire table to NOT start laughing at her, and we live to see another day... bah!

I'm afraid to answer this question truthfully. My boss posts here.

Actually, my boss is a pretty decent guy. For the most part he leaves me alone & lets me do my job. The only times he's pissed me off it wasn't really him that did it - It was him acting out some stupid company policy change, which he was usually just as pissed about as I was.

In fact, he assigned me the "job" of calling PCC to find out how to get my GED. I want to get it in the off chance that I apply somewhere that demands a high-school diploma & refuses to look at my college degree that I got when I was 15.

:disgust:

My boss at my last job wasn't much older than me (low 20's, I was 16-17 at the time). We could flip him off, cuss at him, pretty much anything we wanted. He didn't care, & he dished it out right back at us. :) He was a lot of fun. We both ended up leaving to work at the same place for 50% more money.

My bosses change pretty often, like every 6 months. Wouldn't matter if they were a-holes, they all eventually learn to love me. Like I told the new Plant Manager(a real a-hole) the other day "most bosses start out telling me to put the newspaper away, but eventually ask if they can buy me one".
