Is XP-120 compatible with A8N32-SLI Deluxe?

Hey all,

As the title says, just wanted to know if there are any users of the A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard with Thermaltake XP-120 heatsink. If so, did you encounter any problems during installation?

Thanks in advance. ;-)

Couple off-topic questions below:

1. Newegg.com is out of stock of A8N32-SLI mobos. Anyone know when they're becoming instock, or have suggestions for another "Newegg quality" site to buy this mobo from?

2. Newegg.com is also out of the eVGA 7800 GT Co *N517-AX card. Anyone know another "Newegg quality" site to buy this from?

2) Don't get the 7800GT, it's outdated. The 7900GT is the same price range and far faster.

No ideas on compatability, but you might want to consider the SI 120, its' a reworking of the XP 120 to be more widely compatible, i can't see any problems.

2nd the si120... looking at it right now and it seems to be better than the xp120 along with the ability to fit any mobo. checkout the reviews...

I currently have one 7800 GT. I'm deciding to move SLI, and as I (somewhat) understand it the GPUs need to be the same. Will a 7800 GT be compatible with 7900 GT? Also would an eVGA 7800 GT be compatible with a XYZ 7800/7900 GT--i.e. cross manufacturer support?

Edit:

Also, I currently have the XP-120 heatsink (see my signature). It's an awesome heatsink, and according to reviews @ NewEgg is more preferred over SI-120 (more inexpensive model):

According to review that were actually conducted INSIDE a case, the SI-120 actually outperformed the XP-120 by about 2-3C. I'll dig around and see if I can find that heatsink roundup review.

If you've already got a 7800GT and the XP120...

Ignore everything i said 😀

Yes it does have to be the same card, so you can't have a 7800GT and 7900GT in SLI, but you can have an XFX 7800GT and an eVGA 7800GT in SLI. I think the SI 120 is the better heatsink, but not by all that much over the XP 120. Newegg reviews aren't worth the html they are printed in.
