I miss her, too. She's bright, articulate and witty. AFIC, that's a welcome addition to any forum.

ok fine, every other month (on average) this same thread is posted...

why does one person who chose to leave (again) last summer need to be brought up so often?

who was ever bashed WW?

dude, you're not making any sense
and you think she left why, exactly?

WW was cool and had some good posts, but holy cow... why does this one person have such a cult following?!? Even the mods edit the forums archives at her request... that's some power!

Russ was a great member (did more for these forums than anyone) and he's decided to take time off, but you don't see such rabid devotion and longing for him as you see towards WW. I don't get it.

WW has been seriously ill for a long time, she hasn't posted in several months and I think people's concern is natural. As for Russ,I know there were threads concerning his wherabouts because I started one of them
myself.

A big huge "ditto" your way, Stark. I never understood the wailing in the street that occurs at the mere mention of her name. It's just a forum, and she's just a person. Yowsers.

what i don't understand is why you guys have to come into the threads to complain about threads about her.

obviously some people still care and are wondering where she is. if you don't care...don't comment about it or PM the mods and let them deal with it.

When people act in a way I consider strange, I comment. I've been here a good deal longer than you and I've read her posts - they don't inspire the devotion in me some of you seem to express. Care to enlighten?

i've read a lot of her archived posts as well. i hardly have devotion. I thought she was a really nice lady in the encounters i've had with her, and i find her posts well written and witty.

refreshing is the word i believe. If she doesn't come back again, thats fine with me...but no need for you guys to bash the people that think of her as a good forum buddy.

Sully all I can say is that I consider her my frend and if if you were to start a thread of concern for a friend of yours whom I didn't like, I would stay out of it simply out of respect for you.

I'm not saying I don't like her, I'm just pointing out that she decided to split, so why constantly whine and moan that she's not around?

Plus, these posts have nothing to do with "how is WW" they are all "what happened to WW and why doesn't she post anymore?" If they were updates about her health or a "please pray for WW" that's one thing, but nobody ever even gets a good answer to what DID happen to her, just links to old threads.

Perhaps if one of her good friends gave an actual update on her health/life/place in the universe just once when someone posted one of these threads, it wouldn't bug me so much!!

If anybody knew what had happened to her then I doubt we'd be posting.Btw, there's another way to avoid threads like this, just don't click on them!

I don't understand why people who post wondering where she is or say they miss her or consider her such a wonderful friend don't know where she is. I dunno, all of the people I consider "close" friends even if I only know them on the internet either call me on the phone/email me/aim me/ or write me letters. to say you miss somebody and are constantly worried about this one person who you don't even contact outside of this forum is a wonder to me. Sorry, I'm not trying to bash here...I have nothing against WW I'm just always in awe at this as are a lot of people. But yeah....I should just not care..i don't but i don't get why a lot of u guys get so defensive about a legitimate opiinion. how do you consider someone so close when you don't even talk to her and get to know her as a real person?

Because these supposed"legitmate opinions" are very poorly disgused thread craps and digs at WW!
The woman has been terminally ill, has it ever occured to any of you that nobody's spoken with her because she's not alive anymore?

the title of this thread is "Is WW officially gone forever" not "What do you think of WW?" or "What do you think of people who like and miss WW?"

Wow, funny I saw this thread. I was in class today waiting for a professor, and for some reason was thinkin about what was going on in ATOT, and came across the thought that I hadn't seen WW around in forever. I was wondering if she was doing ok and would hopefully check in with us (or at least send someone a PM)

Ornery, have you been in touch with our Den Mother lately? :)

She claimed to have written this essay:
I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees, I write award-winning operas, I manage time efficiently. Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row.

I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing, I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.

Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.

I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening wear. I don't perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and have won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat 400. My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.

I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know the exact location of every food item in the supermarket. I have performed several covert operations for the CIA. I sleep once a week; when I do sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.

I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I have made extraordinary four course meals using only a mouli and a toaster oven. I breed prizewinning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with Elvis.

But I have not yet gone to college.
