Is Win2k support ATA100??

And from whatI heard, it shouldn't even matter... cuz I don't think we even reach the max of ATA33 do we? Mostly for bragging rights, which I'm all about!!!

do you guys have the webside or article saying that win2k is not supporting ata100 ? From wat i know is until right now non of the controller in the market have a ability supporting ata100 100 % so indirectly win2k is not fully supporting ata100 too but that doennt mean not support ata100 at all but just not 100 % please correct me if i am wrong.

i am going to do a dual boot of WinME and Win2k
and i have ATA100 and ATA66 as well here

should I install Win2k in my ATA66 since it doesn;t support ATA100 now

I am running Win ME in my ATA100 hardisk

what do you think??

Win2K doesn't support ATA100, and it will default ATA100 HDs to PIO4 instead (bug). If you have a Intel Chipset or a Promise card this doesn't matter because Intel has drivers to fix it, and Promise makes Win2K think all the drives are SCSI. However with the VIA chipset youll need to download the software for your HD and switch the HD itself to UDMA4 (ATA66) instead of UDMA5(ATA100) Then it will work fine.
