Is wendys in a diffrent league then McDonalds?

i went to wendy's for the first time in months the other day and i noticed they "shrunk" everything on their dollar menu. i was very disappointed

mmm, I love how you can get a double cheeseburger from McD's, refrigerate it for a day or two, microwave it, and it still tastes fucking awesome. Or if you just let it get cold after ordering. Still awesome. Does that say something about the meat quality? Hell if I care. I absolutely love McD's. I also like Wendy's, but due to the better pricing at McD's, go there MUCH more often. I'm a fan of quantity over quality, especially if my stomach is in pain for food. And in that regard: 2 double cheese burgers for $2. Good little snack/small meal right there. Holds me over until the next feeding.

The people who are responding "no" consider Wendy's and McDonalds to both be crappy fast food. This is the truth.

But it is impossible to deny that Wendy's > Mcdonalds. Of course, you pay more for it.

Anyway, everyone knows that Real food > In N Out (for price AND flavor) > All Other Fast Food > McDonalds

actually, in terms of food quality, they probably are. But I prefer the taste and character to their food more than a lot of other fast food. But I'm also a very picky eater.

you said *still taste awesome* after a few days. What did I miss? I've never had a double from MCD's that tasted awesome to begin with. If you're saying by refrigerating them for a few days it makes them taste better - I shall give it a try. Every time I get them, they are try and have a weird, almost sweet taste to them. And I've had them from many different MCD's so it's not just the one by my house

As always said Baconator > most fast food. Wendy's is very good, and if the fries are super fresh they rock! The one by me seems to almost never have fresh fries so they suck

Also Wendy's Nuggets own Mcnuggets and dessert wise - Frosty > anything from MCD's

MCDS is the Mercedes Benz of fast food. I once at there for 18 days straight. So good, angus burger is probably best burger at BK/MCDS/Wendy's/Carls.

wow. this is purely subjective. both my roommate and I find that McDonald's fries are our favorites. IMO, they taste a lot better than Inn N Out fries and carls jr fries. You might have a cse with BK, they do a good job too, but are less consistent. McD's fries, on the other hand, tend to be hot, fresh, and crispy, probably due to the volume they sell.

As for the OP, I prefer Mcdonald's to Wendy's. Wendy's might have a case if you like bigass meaty, cheesy burgers. But that's too much for me. If you thought McDonald's was greasy, you haven't tried Wendy's. This is for the burgers. But when it comes to Chicken Nuggets, there is absolutely no argument whatsoever. wendy's nuggets are garbage compared to McDonald's chicken nuggets!

I worked in a Wendy's years ago.

I was very impressed. I handled food prep in the back. The place was spotless. About every 2 or 3 days we got a shipment of fresh vegatables for the salads etc. I'd show up at 8:00 AM and start preparing stuff like cutting fresh tomatos, preparing fresh heads of lettuce for the sandwiches and salads, the chicken breast for sandwiches (fresh chicken breats, not frozen. I'd prep for cooking and do the actual cooking).

I threw a lot of food/produce etc in dumpsters. If we didn't use the stuff quickly enough we threw it away and got fresher.

Some other guys were responsible for the meat (beef). They showed up real early like 4 AM. They'd get a truckload of fresh beef, like a big side of beef you see in the movie "Rocky". They'd gring it up, pack it, load it up and deliver it to other Wendy's in the area.

IMO. the food was as fresh as it gets for any restaurant, even upscale restaurants.

Don't know if they've changed though.

I've had friends that worked at other places. The beef etc were all frozen. There was no comparison.

McDonald's 99 cent double cheeseburgers are better than any of the 99 cent Wendys items, but Wendys "non" dollar menu stuff is FAR FAR better than McDonalds.

Been to a Rally's? Same place, different name. That's what I had back home. Not sure if either are down here in Columbus.
