Is WD caviar green good for gaming?

Maybe depends on the games you play but for those I do no issue.

I’m not claiming you’re going to get data corruption or crashes on green drives, or anything like that. What I’m saying is that game loading performance will be worse and given what I showed above, a fast 7200RPM drive is a no-brainer over any green drive.

You're not going to be slowed down by this drive during actual gameplay, if that's what you are asking. Load times might be longer, but that's about it. However, these are usually used for storage/data as they can get a bit slow to use, outside of games. I'd rather not use it as an OS drive. I've had one.
