I should add it does what it claims and while there may or may not be better encoders available, any transcoding will reduce quality. I use it to convert DivX/XviD and burn to DVD+RW for viewing on friends' stand-alone players while keeping the original. So for that it is ideal. The latest trial/paid version has a nice integrated burning feature with the option of including the original video file as well if there is space, plus subtitle support. But the free version combined with any burner proggy like Nero should generally be more than adequate. If you find anything better lemme know!
