If you're happy with XP then it makes since to wait. As it is, your current HW is going to make you cut Vista back so far that it won't be worth it.

..disagree.

Very witty and to the point.

Thanks :) It bugged me that I put in a well thought out response for the OP then someone with the opposing view drops this in as a recommendation. I wasn't going to let the tripe slip by completely unanswered. :p

lol :) That was pretty funny. I think the Vista pro vs. con is pretty divisive overall, with adherents to either side being sort of like Democrats vs. Republicans. I'm sort of on the fence, I know it will get better, I just don't like the results personally at this time. Working as a PC repair/IT shop owner, I have had to get used to working with it, but I certainly am not having any fun with it. At the same time, it's brought me more business (people unhappy with Vista who want help or they just want XP loaded instead). So it's not all bad ;)

Tripe huh? What is there in anything I've said that could be interpreted as worthless? It was all based on hard experience, while you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, sweet pea. If you put the asinine Mr. Sarcasm routine to rest for a moment you'd notice that the most thoughtful responses to Guy urged caution, that's all. While you, poor fellow, had nothing to say but "D-D-Do it!!! (giggle)."

Anyway, you take care, Smilin.

There is nothing in his hardware config that would cause him to "cut Vista back so far that it won't be worth it." So yes it's worthless tripe.

I think my response (3rd overall) was just a tad more that "D-D-Do it!! (giggle)." (it contributed to him deciding not to upgrade at this time actually) You appear to be offended by this whole thing but personal attacks on me aren't going to make your incorrect statements somehow correct. Neither will saying how much experience you have.

I do know happen to know just a thing or two about Vista. I guarantee I've been working with it longer than you, sweet pea.

So you can respond with more thought than your average 2-year old. That's good, but it doesn't alter the fact that you're a know-nothing, big-mouthed poseur, smilin.

I'll leave you with the firm opinion that you're a mouse in real life. Why else would you come online and behave the way you do if not for a real lack of stiffness otherwise?

So I'm a know-nothing big-mouthed poseur now eh?

 Guess we won't be seeing any proof.

If you're just going to sling unwarranted personal insults at me instead of trying to help the OP I'll go ahead and leave now so this thread doesn't go downhill any further than it already has.
