Is Verizons Droid ever gonna see 2.3?

And is there a widget which pulls my Task list from my Gmail account? Can find plenty of apps but no widgets.

No, we won't be getting that. As for 2.4, it's not due until a bit later in the year. It was sort of announced but that doesn't mean imminent release.

Officially no.

Running GPA 16 beta right now on mine though...from Peter Alfonso (he of the Bugless Beast). Pretty close to a "stock" appearance and setup.

I wouldn't anything official from Verizon would come out for the old Droid.

I'm still using a Froyo rom though, I've had issues with every 2.3 rom I've tried on my OG Droid.

This. Official support for the Droid 1 has long since expired.

yeah but 2.3 has so many issues on the Droid due to its limited memory.

even if you get it officially so what? it's not a fun experience. hell that whole phone is a terrible experience unless you OC the hell out of it. And then it still is a lagfest.

This is true. I always about two seconds from smashing mine on the ground lately. If I do OC it to the point that it's decent it gets so hot when doing simple stuff like web browsing that my SetCPU profiles kick in and turn down the CPU. I wish there was something out I felt like using my upgrade/spending money on.
