IS UNLOCKING SAFE? HELP!!

Hi! I was just wondering , I have a AMD 1800+ XP and trading it and buying a 2Ghz AMD.
But I want to unlock it and I have the Video from the Tom's Hardwear site, Looks scary, Could I reely damage my Prossesor?
What is the worst thing that could happend ? heh
I know that the Garentee will be Voied so im screwed there and it cost 750$ canadian, Byt im still planing on giving it a SHOT.. Any Tips
anyone ?

The xp1800 is about us$150.. Anyway, the unlocking is not hard.

And " zzzzz " If u pay 150$ for ur 1800xp , it's sure as hell not canadian money!
U said unlocking wasent hard ehmm but my question is is it dangerous, anything I should avoyed doing?
by doing this what could i do that would damage it..

Dude, I don't know where you're buying your processors but you are getting royally screwd!

A 2 second search at NCIX found me this, an Athlon XP 1800+ Retail for $387 plus tax

As for the unlockng part, I haven't had the courage to try it so far.

Oh yeah, and for the 2GHz Athlon, I imagine you mean Athlon XP 2000+ (@ 1.667 GHz) because AMD does not sell 2 GHz Athlons, maybe they will when they go to a .13um process but this won't be for at least a couple of months.
