both guys came out of LSU and have similar builds and playing styles. I think Tyrus Thomas is gonna be a bust...he's just another super atheletic power forward who is gonna get dominated by 3's who are faster and 4's who are bigger and stronger.

What do you think?

I'm concerned about his ability to shoot the ball away from the rim, altho I render all faith unto John Paxson and can't believe at this point he'd use his #2 pick to aquire a bust.

The Bulls have the resources to let him grow. Swift was thrown into the fire and never materialized.

There's a guy who lives in your neighborhood who's about your size... can I assume he's going to have the same future success as you? What's more logical than assuming that two people who have somewhat similar body builds and lived in the same place for one year, will also have the same future success. All the 6"6' athletic two guards will all be the next Michael Jordan also. I mean, there's nothing else that determines how good a player will be, right?

Bulls got more than just Tyrus in the deal.

This upcoming season, the Bulls are LOADED.

Ben Wallace, Hinrich, Deng, Duhon, Brown starting

Nocioni, Gordon, Sweetney off the bench.

Bulls have the luxury of not needing much from their rookies. The rookies have no pressure on them to perform, which can only help them relax and ease into the NBA.

a few thoughts.

I agree on Thomas - he's got freakish athletic ability, but his offensive game is very unpolished...still, I think he's a lot more mobile than Swift is, and I think a better ballhandler....I like the K-Mart comparison for a few years down the road.

As for the Bulls, I'm not buying into the hype by signing Ben Wallace. They already led the NBA in FG% against last year, and they still have ZERO interior scoring, and their backcourt is still among the smallest in the league. I'm just not convinced that a backcourt group of Henrich, Duhon, and Gordon is an elite group. Yes, Wallace and Brown give them some nice interior defenders and rebounders, but little to no offense from your 4 and your 5 is going to make it harder for your perimeter players to get open looks outside...I don't see anyone, ever, doubling down on a Bulls player in the post.

In the East, it's Miami, Detroit, Cleveland, then NJ/Chicago.

PS - the Knicks still suck, Isaiah Thomas can't coach or be a GM, here's to his last season with an NBA job!
