Is tweaking your computer an obsession?

What is about having a perfectly tuned system that makes me want to install new drivers and update applications that are working with no problems? I'm running Win XP, so I always have the option of going back through System Restore to rescue myself...but, damm, I can't stop myself!

I know anti-virus updates and security patches are important, but everytime I tweak I create a new challenge for myself to get everything smoothed out.

Can your "perfectly tuned" system do this:

2:39pm up 90 days, 19:00, 7 users, load average: 0.14, 0.06, 0.01
Some people have different definitions of a "perfectly tuned" computer.

the last piece of hardware i put in this current box was a hollywood plus mpeg card. I'm not an obsessive tweaker. I'm happy when it works fine.
