is TigerDirect really THAT bad?

run.... run as fast as you can and don't look back! Sure they'll entice you with those sweet low prices and weekly specials.... but once you bite they've got you and your money. Customer service is poor if not non-existent
Rebates are almost never honored
RMA.... they don't know the meaning

You can't beat Monarch's customer service. I believe they still have a 10% discount on any order over 800$ if you use an AMEX card as well. They get my vote- baring that, Newegg.

I've gotten all 6 rebates from Tiger that I qualified for. Granted, I had a heck of a time with the 3 for the Soyo case, but I just kept e-mailing, and I eventually got 'em. It was actually the manufacturer that was the problem and Tiger actually stepped in on my behalf, even though they legally didn't have a horse in the race.

I did have to return an item to Tiger. I originally bought it somewhere else, but looked like they weren't ever going to ship and ruin my daughter's Christmas, so I ordered from Tiger, the 2nd cheapest place online. Of course, 3 days later, both shipped. I had to return one, and even with the return shipping fees, Tiger's was the one to return. They didn't give me any problems, and I still came out about $7 ahead.

Never had to deal with a Tiger RMA though...

I'd buy deals on their cases though. But nothing else. Because not much can go wrong with a case (....maybe dents, scratches, but that's rare)

tiger direct isn't a scammer.. but they are really stingy and evil when it comes to returns and rebates...

only beef I have with tigerdirect is shipping price they never offer free shipping or low shipping cost... sometime there customer service could be rude and annoying like you want to fly to florida and beat the living cr@p of them lol...

I agree, I have never been treated ruder than when I had to deal w/ Tiger Direct's customer service. I was so angry I would throw all the Tiger Direct catalogs that I saw around work and home in the trash. Newegg has great service. Zipzoomfly is not far behind, shipping is just slower.

When I ordered from Tiger Direct it was faster than when I ordered with Newegg. Go with whats cheaper but Tiger Direct is a solid seller IMHO.
