I just reinstalled and decided to use 2 partitions with the os on one and everything else possible on the other. I'm wondering if theres a way to have all the my doc folders moved to a different drive, and the desktop(i store lots of junk on mine.

Yes, log in as another user who has administrator privilages than move your account's profile to the new locations (move c:\documents and settings\username to d:\myfolder\myprofile) than look at the properties of your account and set the profile path to the new location.

also check out TweakUI / Powertoys, has a section that does that sort of thing - maybe just providing a more obvious way to do what spyordie007 said though. edit: no it doesnt, it just lets you move specifc folders (most of which are sub folders of your profile one).

I did thsi, but all it does is give you a roaming profile there and it copies it back and forth on logon and logoff. is there a way to make it on a different drive without copying it to the c: every time?

k I got it to look on the d drive in my docs folder for my documents, now just wondering if theres a way to get the desktop to be located on the d drive....I don't mind the rest of the profile sitting on the c:
