Is TH's Pro Skater 3 really that good??

I saw its $20 at Staples this morning and nearly picked it up. I came back home to read some reviews and I guess I am confused. Several of the large gaming websites (Gamespot and IGN in particular) give it rave reviews and say its a great game. However, alot of user reviews that I read say its buggy and give it a much lower score overall.

I know its a console game, so I can live with a few minor bugs, but don't really know what to expect from the game.

So for $20, would you recommend it?

Also, I am thinking my brother would love this game. He has a Celeron 566@850, 256mb RAM, GF3 Ti200, and Win2K. How well would it run on his system?

Personally, I preferred THPS2 better than 3, but both are great games. Definately worth $20. It should work just fine on the system you mentioned, but I wouldn't do much over 800x600.

If you plan on playing online it is but for single player it still worth the $20 but the online is the cream of the crop.

I played THPS 3 for the PC, and THPS 4 for the XBox and I found both of them to be boring as hell with absolutely no point to then. I found it difficult to dredge up any enjoyment for either title..... their very popular though, as evidently they appeal to some.

Well, if Rand says it sucks, then everyone else must be wrong! End of discussion!!!

For the rest of y'all - I have THPS 2 and 3 on the PC and thought 3 was a lot better than 2 and it consumed many a long night. THPS4 on the Xbox is cool with the new tricks and the banishment of the clock unless you're doing goals, but I've having trouble racking up the scores I got in THPS3. Hmmm....

THPS3 for the PC is a good game and it ran silky smooth at 1024 with AA on my PC.

I know that 1 and 2 are both good, never played 3, but if it's the same style and stuff as the first two, then it's good.
