ok, go to pricewatch.com and you will find that you can get an athlon XP 1900 for 240 + 11 s&h. Now go to ebay, people are sell them for a little under 300 plus s&h. Would it be wrong to profit of people who go to ebay and buy over priced cpus?

No, nothing wrong at all. It's called Capitalism. It's why the U.S. is still here. Although, you must do all the homework young grasshopper. Is it a retail or OEM CPU? Remember also, Ebay takes about 5% in fees. And finally you have to collect the money from the winning bidder. In the end you may make $20-$30, if you're lucky. IMHO, not worth it.

Yeah, people on eBay are fools. I wouldn't hesitate to rip them off if they bid that high.

Not here though. :) We're all well informed and we show each other the common respect by posting reasonable prices. Didn't you notice the people selling Xboxes and Gamecubes well over market price in the Buy/Sell? Locked down...

Interesting... I once sold a monitor to a "well-informed" guy on FS/FT after I failed to sell it on ebay and it sold for $25 more than the highest bid in my ebay auction.

How are you ripping them off? Are you not sending them what they agreed to pay for?

I guess it's ok, but i just want to see what everyone else thinks. Taken avantage of someone b/c of their lack of knowledge. I love capitalism. :D

I think what you should do is start an ebay auction that ends around $300 and then just charge the winner what you paid for it. That way, you wouldn't have to worry about doing anything wrong ;)

I see no reason to ever do that. If people are willing to pay $300 bucks for it, let them. Give the people what they want. :)

The fact that you even had to ask is an indication it's wrong. Of course it's wrong. It would take a low-life capitalist to justify it. But then how would anybody know if they don't have morals to begin with.

There are no bad people. Everybody rationalizes what they do is ok.
