Is this worth it? 6600gt vs X800

I'm looking at passively cooled mid-range video cards for my new build. I was all set to order the Gigabyte 6600GT Turbo Force card and then I saw a review on the Gigabyte X800 w/256MB Turbo Force. Both are passively cooled.

My motherboard is SLI capable, but I'm not likely planning to go that route. The X800 is $45 more at ZZF. Obviously, if I do order the X800, I lose the ability to use it in SLI.

Is it worth it to lay out the extra cash (20%) for the X800?

Thanks for your opinions.

How much are you paying for the 6600GT? If it's somewhere near 250$ (and this is probably it), get the X800, too much for a 6600GT.

Great deal!! You can't find it online under 200$, you should consider posting this on the HT forum.

p.s: 800 posts, yay!

Actually the 6600GT is $220 shipped at ZZF. I figure between the Turbo charge and the passive cooling, the extra $20 is fine compared to others considering I'd replace the fans, invalidating the warranties. The X800 is $265.

That AGP card is a great deal. My board is PCIe though. Plus the airfare would make that deal prohibitive! 😉
