This is ridiculous. We woke up to this scene this morning: http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/B...te/snow21April2008.JPG

And it's still snowing.

Yesterday, it was sunny pretty much all day until about 3 in the afternoon, then it hailed and snowed the rest of the day.

i would likely cry if i woke to that. we are getting an early summer here. temps are like 20 degrees above average for the week!

you cry over nothing apperently

it was ~80 here this weekend and IMO it was TOO FUCKING HOT
well.. i wouldn't really cry.
but i would be disappointed. winters here are too damn long. i need to move south, but not too far south. where i am now canada is always blowing it's cold air down my neck.

no way 80 is too hot. i soaked it up. yesterday i was out washing my car in my swimsuit and it was awesome for APRIL!

see i desire to move further north where there is more snow and it does not get above 85 in July
Welcome to Northern New York.

i live in upstate/wester NY and its routinly over 90 here most of the summer with way to much humidity, it sucks

i need to move back to Maine or VT

Ok, here's a question for everyone: does anyone here get a "bad referrer" picture when you open my snow picture (in the OP)? My spouse can't get it to open from work and I wonder if they've blacklisted his employer's IP.

Picture works for me. It's shocking to think that that is within 15 miles of where I live, cause it was sunny here all weekend... It's cold as shit today though.

Well, I'm ten miles from HWY 26, so it's probably a bit further than 15 miles to SE PDX. Probably more like 25 miles or so.

It's snowing like crazy right now, ground is white yet again (this morning's snow mostly melted off by 10am.) I don't know which winter was worse, this one or the one in 2003-2004, when we got four feet of snow (no melting in between, just snow on top of snow on top of snow) starting at xmas, and were nearly housebound until mid february (including an interesting week with no electricity and no generator.) That's the winter where a couple inches of ice built up on all the roads and turned the area into a skating rink for a couple days. I guess that was worse than this winter, but this is just crazy weather.

The winter of 03-04 was my best winter ever. My girlfriend and I got snowed in by that giant ice storm; we were basically unable to leave for 8 days. We had the house to ourselves and nothing to do... let's just say it's a wonder we could walk when the ice finally cleared. But yeah, we cranked the heat, moved the bed into the living room and drank lots of cocoa while we watched the snow fall. It was amazing.

03-04 was certainly worse. The only people getting snow right now are in the very high elevations like you. Most of us haven't seen anything white since Sunday.
