i have this UPS, no problems with it and my 1.8ghz PC server which runs on it 24/7

i'd still highly suggest you do some basic tests with it first tho.

one guy at anandtech got one of these, plugged a light in to it and observed that it only flickered when plugged into the UPS, so he didn't keep that specific UPS.

another anandtech guy, nuclearned plugged in ~500watt lights to this UPS (the 1500va version) and didn't observe any problems

I wouldn't want to depend on any Belkin power products. Their whole business plan is to increase the bottom line of the big box stores by packaging cheap generic products for sale at huge margins. CyberPower is often on special at the big box stores - I'd wait for one of those. You also pay a lot to ship those heavy things from online resellers while the big box stores do their own logistics which saves them a lot on shipping heavy items.

I picked up my last Belkin for $110 locally and found it online shipped for $90. Local places can't touch newegg prices even with shipping.
