WTF, i found out today that i currently have a 59% in a class. however, i have only failed one assignment the entire semester

ok so you are saying that the assignment was worth a large percentage of your grade. Whats the problem?

some professors use the sliding grade things
where no matter where you are if you're bottom 50% of the class you fail top 50% you pass, so maybe even with 79 78 77 45 in the class you could be in the bottom half and fail if the other half did considerably better. likewise you can still get an A with a 56% avg if the rest of the class did considerably worse.

maybe, I dunno how you get graded though???

she never really said how we would get graded(even in the sylabus)
